This week's Lake Seminole fishing report
Schooling bass hitting topwater lures as autumn cooling continues
Week of seasonal outlook with this week's weather

- Surface
We have not seen a lot of fresh reports over the last couple of weeks, but the mid-October intel pointed to a very strong topwater bite that aligns perfectly with our usual November patterns. With the water continuing to cool, bass are schooling in open water and feeding heavily on shad.
On Seminole, late fall usually means baitfish are getting concentrated in the Chattahoochee and Flint river channels, as well as the spring runs in Spring Creek. You will want to look for surface activity where these channels meet hydrilla points. The topwater bite has been exceptional and can last all day under the right conditions, rather than just at dawn and dusk.
For this weekend, keep a topwater lure tied on and keep your eyes peeled for schooling fish pushing bait to the surface. If the surface action slows down or they will not commit, try running a swim jig or spinnerbait down the edges of the grass points near the main river channels.
