We do not have any fresh reports from the water this week. Without current updates, we have to lean heavily on the typical November patterns for Lake Austin. Right now, the focus is on the fall transition as threadfin and gizzard shad push into the creeks.\n\nDuring November, you want to target the watermilfoil and pondweed beds. Chatterbaits and topwaters fished over the grass are usually the most productive options until the first major cold fronts arrive in December. Areas around the mouths of Bull Creek and Bee Creek are prime spots to look for bait pushing shallow. The boat docks between these creeks also hold fish looking to ambush passing shad.\n\nFor this weekend, keep it simple and cover water. Start early with a topwater plug over the grass flats, and switch to a chatterbait around the boat docks and creek mouths as the sun gets higher.
