This week's Lake LBJ fishing report
Fall cooling pushes shad and bass into LBJ creek arms
Week of seasonal outlook with this week's weather

We do not have any fresh reports from the water this week, so we have to lean on the typical November patterns for LBJ. As the weather cools this month, the main driver is the baitfish migration. Threadfin and gizzard shad are moving off the main lake and pushing into the creek arms.\n\nThe bass follow that forage, setting up along the extensive bulkheads and rocky banks that line the developed shoreline. Since LBJ is a constant-level lake, those bulkheads provide reliable ambush points year after year. You will also find fish utilizing the water willow and spatterdock in the creeks, particularly in areas like Sandy Creek.\n\nFor baits, this is the time of year to cover water with moving presentations. Spinnerbaits and squarebills are the most consistent producers for these fall fish. Keep your boat moving along the rock and concrete structures, looking for signs of shad near the surface.\n\nIf you are heading out this weekend, start your mornings in the creek arms. Tie on a squarebill or a spinnerbait and parallel the bulkheads and rocky stretches until you locate the bait.
